Dave Harrison held two positions at GAF Materials Corporation from 1996 through 2008.

During his ten years at GAF Materials Corporation, the company grew from $650 million to 3 billion, and from the #5 to the #1 roofing manufacturer in North America – now bigger than #2 and #3 competitors combined. Dave started a and lead a 850 location plus franchise operation and a certification initiative that now has over 7,000 business partners. Dave also started and lead a non-profit training institute (CARE)  that develops curriculum and trains over 20,000 professionals every year. He mentored a pragmatic and creative team that introduced an average of 35+ new products and services every year.

He is a frequently requested key note speaker, and presents to over 2,000 executives a year on topics including leadership, strategy, marketing, sales and quality assurance

He enjoyed a history of significant accomplishments in several industries including health care (Johnson and Johnson), consumer packaged goods (Old Spice, Band Aid, Pine Sol, etc.), distribution (Eckerd Drug) and retail (Dansk and Lenox).

Dave was also a professor at:

Dave has received various awards and recognition including:

  • Telly Corporate Video Awards (US Manufacturing)… ten-time winner in 1st through 3rd place
  • POPAI (Retail Merchandising)… first place for best merchandising concept
  • DIANA (Wholesale Drug Distribution)… first place for best strategy and marketing support initiatives

Dave’s older son Robert is a successful financial manager in the building products industry. His younger son Sam is a third year cadet at West Point.
